IVANS is an independent company that handles real-time interfacing between our systems and our carrier partners. Through this relationship, Applied Systems agents and brokers have access to real-time carrier data for quoting, rating, policy information, claims status and other information. IVANS provides this data through Transformation Station, an Applied Systems application that works in conjunction with Epic, TAM, DORIS and Vision. It uses an open-standard interface and ACORD XML standards for real-time communication via the Internet. While developed by Applied Systems, these technologies are also available to our competitor companies as part of our overall commitment to our industry.
