Remote connectivity provides flexibility, peace of mind

“If you have multiple offices, this is a must,” says Larry R. Hitzeman of his agency’s TAMOnline. L. R. Hitzeman-Roberts Agency is based in Lowell, Indiana, and operates with two remote locations.

“Each office can view our entire database, and we can chat from whichever office we’re in,” says Hitzeman. “That saves tons of time.”

Agency principals appreciate TAMOnline’s flexibility, allowing them to track day-to-day operations from wherever their travels take them. Hitzeman says the agency enjoys a broad base of potential employees because they are allowed to choose working from home.

“Employees tend to drift into the system from home on holidays and weekends,” Hitzeman says. "They will just have a thought they want to check, and there they are in the system.”

Another significant plus: Disaster planning is done. “We could have an office totally destroyed tonight and start business in the morning from anywhere, because most employees have computers at home,” Hitzeman says. “They log on from home, and we are back in business. Now that’s peace of mind.”

Cost saving makes the system ideal

“Perfect.”

That’s the succinct assessment of TAMOnline offered by Alan Harkabus at White Park & Rumford in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.

TAMOnline has saved money for Harkabus’s 19-user agency. Harkabus says the system has dramatically reduced hardware costs over the six years the agency has used the system: No more need for expensive file servers, and workstations don’t have to be replaced as often.
